The UNM Department of Theatre and Dance presents Somewhere: A Primer for the End of Days by Marisela Treviño Orta, directed by Juli Hendren.
Years after human manufactured crises have decimated the natural world, two survivors, Cassandra, an entomologist, and her brother Alexander, find hope in following the migration of Monarch butterflies to new nesting grounds. Their path intersects with a truffle farm where a small group of people are hunkering down for the imminent collapse of society. When surviving alone becomes impossible, how do humans move forward together? Will fear of the unknown hold people in the past, or can society transform like the butterfly?
Week #1: September 26 and 27 at 7:30pm, September 28 at 2:00pm
Week #2: October 2 and 3 at 7:30pm, October 4 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm
