Douglas Wood has taught improvisation at the Motion Picture and Television Fund, CalArts, Prescott College, California State University-Northridge, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Israel, the Diversity Writers Program at CBS and more. He began his career as an actor and has performed with Steppenwolf, the Goodman Theatre, the Second City National Touring Company, the Comedy Store, The Improv and Zanies. He created and wrote for the Disney TV series, Little Einsteins and has written and produced children’s television for Netflix, Amazon, Universal, Apple and PBS. Wood has also been a film executive and developed the feature, The Iron Giant for Warner Bros. and the series, Animaniacs for Steven Spielberg at Amblin Entertainment. His novel, Ladies of the Canyon was published by Prospective Press.
