2024 Hulsman Undergraduate Library Research Award Winners

Congratulations to Piper Lincoln and Kaitlin Bone for winning the 2024 Hulsman Undergraduate Library Research Award in the Emerging Researcher Category!

Kaitlin Bone (left image), an art major, won first place for her work, “Class Distinctions Between Moche Warriors: An Illustration in Ceramic Vessels.” She wrote the paper for Beth Norwood’s ARTH 2110 class in the Fall of 2023.

Piper Lincoln (right image), an anthropology major, won second place for her work, “Stonehenge: Not So Blank Slates.” Piper wrote this for Beth Norwood’s ARTH 1120 class in the spring of 2023.

The awards ceremony and reception will be in Zimmerman on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 3:30-5:00 pm.

Subhankar Banerjee Leads in Environmental Arts & Humanities

Subhankar Banerjee, professor in the UNM Department of Art, is a photographer, writer, curator, and environmental humanities scholar. He is also the founder and director of the Center for Environmental Arts & Humanities at UNM.
On Earth Day, the Center opened a small exhibition of Banerjee’s work, “BioDiversity,” at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton. After being on display for a year, the full contents of the“BioDiversity” exhibit will become part of the permanent archive at the Shelby White and Leon Levy Archives Center at IAS.
