2024 Hulsman Undergraduate Library Research Award Winners

Congratulations to Piper Lincoln and Kaitlin Bone for winning the 2024 Hulsman Undergraduate Library Research Award in the Emerging Researcher Category!

Kaitlin Bone (left image), an art major, won first place for her work, “Class Distinctions Between Moche Warriors: An Illustration in Ceramic Vessels.” She wrote the paper for Beth Norwood’s ARTH 2110 class in the Fall of 2023.

Piper Lincoln (right image), an anthropology major, won second place for her work, “Stonehenge: Not So Blank Slates.” Piper wrote this for Beth Norwood’s ARTH 1120 class in the spring of 2023.

The awards ceremony and reception will be in Zimmerman on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 3:30-5:00 pm.

Art History Professor, Ray Hernández-Durán, Named Regents’ Professor

Ray Hernández-Durán, professor of art history in UNM’s Department of Art & Art History in the College of Fine Arts, has been named a Regents’ Professor, a distinguished and lifelong honor recognizing senior faculty members who demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and community impact. The title is awarded following a rigorous review process led by the College Dean in collaboration with the Provost’s Office and includes a three-year stipend to support the recipient’s work.
