Theresa A. Carson is an Adjunct Instructor with the UNM Department of Theatre and Dance. She recently moved to Albuquerque from Durango, CO, where she was Visiting Faculty in the Theatre Department at Fort Lewis College. Previously, she served as Artistic Director and Theatre Manager for the Durango Arts Center for 5 years as well as Artistic Director of Sandstone Productions (Farmington, NM) for 6 years. She has also taught at Minnesota State University Moorhead and San Juan College (Farmington, NM). She earned a BA from the University of Iowa in Theatre Arts: Acting and Communication Studies and an MFA from the University of Utah in Directing. Favorite directing credits include Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them, Gypsy, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Rent, Angels in America Part II, Cabaret, Fool for Love, Fiddler on the Roof, Grapes of Wrath, Urinetown, the musical, Proof. Favorite acting credits include Veronica in God of Carnage, Brooke in Other Desert Cities, and Kess in Independence.
