Rebecca Huppenthal has trained as a choreographer, performer, and teacher. Rebecca was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She began dancing at the age of three and has continued with this passion throughout her life. Rebecca’s love for dance and choreography continued at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she received a BFA in Dance focusing on performance and choreography. She performed varied works from multiple artists as well as creating her own choreographic pieces. She was selected to perform within the states well as in Germany and South Korea and was awarded best choreographer of her class. After receiving her BFA, she continued her education at the University of New Mexico achieving an MFA in Dance. Currently, she is the Education Manager at the National Institute of Flamenco. Rebecca trains in multiple styles of dance focusing on ballet, modern, and jazz. In her teaching and choreographic works, she strives to aggregate the best elements of her diverse training, combining a foundation of strong technique with elements of improvisation practices.

Her pedagogy embraces a balance of traditional techniques interspersed with the freedom to explore the dancer’s natural movement inclinations. Dance education is one of her greatest passions and continually ignites her curiosity and love of dance by witnessing the growth and accomplishments of her students. It is her aim that the principles taught in the dance studio serve students in all aspects of their life, aspiring for them not only to be outstanding dancers, performers, and choreographers but people who can make profound differences in their community.
