MFA in Dance

Jessica Wilson is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She is interested in many dance disciplines, but her focus is contemporary/modern dance. After receiving her bachelor’s in dance, she worked as an instructor at several private studios and public schools, and then spent five years as adjunct faculty at Penn State University. At Penn State she taught Modern, Contemporary Ballet, Conditioning for Dancers, and Dance Appreciation. She also choreographed several pieces and produced the full show, “Moving Pictures”, a collaboration between visual artists and choreographers. Now a student in the Dance MFA program at UNM, Jessica is eager to expand her abilities while also having more opportunities to engage in research.
