MFA Dance

Cristina Tadeo is an MFA candidate in dance at the University of New Mexico. Her artistic practice is situated at the intersection of performance, environment, visual design, and process documentary—informed by training in contemporary dance forms, improvisation, somatic practice, and studio art.

Cristina’s research seeks to identify considerations linking embodied practice, empathy, and ecology in theory and praxis, with an attention to the interaction of content and form. Cristina holds a BFA in Dancemaking from Columbia College Chicago and, for the last decade, has supported various organizations as a professional arts administrator, graphic designer, and grant writer. She currently serves as the Operations Manager for Chicago-based dance company, Khecari.
