Eurydice, written and adapted from the original myth by Sarah Ruhl, and directed by Emma Zeigler, tells the classic story of Orpheus from the perspective of his fatally deceased wife, Eurydice. In the original telling, Eurydice dies on their wedding night from the bite of a viper and when Orpheus descends into the Underworld to retrieve her, Hades and Persephone give Orpheus a challenge that he cannot complete.
