The Department of Film & Digital Arts Resources

Film & Digital Arts houses high-end equipment, including a variety of camera, sound, lighting, grip, computer, and A/V products for checkout to be used in conjunction with classes, research, and events.

Checkout is only available to students currently enrolled in a Film and Digital Arts production course.

The checkout period is two days (if equipment is picked up on Thursday or Friday, it is due back the next Monday). If you have questions, please contact David Camarena at equipment@unm.edu or by phone at 505.277.1171.

Facilities & Classroom Space Reservation

Students, faculty, and staff can reserve time in the Flex Space, Recording Studio, or classrooms in Mesa del Sol, and classrooms in Hartung Hall or CERIA. Please email film@unm.edu to reserve space.

The Flexible Production Lab has the following:

•Programmable ETC lighting control system w/ 25 spot lights, 16 Fresnels and 16 LED wash lights.
•Full audio mixing and recording station with Presonus 24.4.2 board
•Green Screen Cyclorama and portable walls
•7.1 Surround Sound system
•Flexible Crestron AV switching system

How to Apply

• All students must be admitted to the University, whether as an incoming freshman, transfer student, or non-degree student. Apply online through the Admissions Department at UNM

•After meeting all CFA admission requirements, students must apply to become a declared major.
