Charis Ann McKelvy Memorial Scholarship Fund
Qualifications: The recipient shall be a resident of Albuquerque and a graduate of the Albuquerque Public Schools and shall be a full-time undergraduate student (12 hours), preferably a Sophomore.
The recipient must be enrolled in the UNM College of Fine Arts, majoring in either Art Studio, Art History, Music, Theatre, Dance, or Media Arts.
Selection Criteria: Selection shall be based on talent and academic achievement (with a 3.0 or better). Scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive semesters provided the recipient is making adequate academic progress and is maintaining a grade point average of 3.0 or better.
The recipient shall be encouraged to communicate with the donor or family of the donor during the time the scholarship is held.
Neither age, sex, race, color, religion nor place of national origin shall be considered when the recipients are selected.
Amount: $1,000 per year paid on a semester basis.
Application Process:
- Submit an application (pick up in CA 1103 or print (.pdf)) to your faculty recommender who will add his/her recommendation and submit it to the department office
- Selection committee reviews nominations and selects recipients
- Recipients will be notified of awards
