SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS
There are a limited number of scholarships offered by the College of Fine Arts in addition each department awards scholarships. The UNM Incoming Freshmen Performing Arts and Creative Practice Award is offered by the Scholarship Office. The application process for department scholarships is done through the indvidual department offices. For further information about eligibility or application dates please contact the appropriate department office (Art:277-5861, Cinematc Arts: 277-6262, Music: 277-2126, Theatre & Dance: 277-4332). Most scholarships are available only to students who have already transferred into the college.
There are only a few scholarships available to freshmen. Check with the Financial Aid and Scholarship offices to find out about other scholarships and aid programs for which you might qualify. For information about general scholarships offered by the university, contact the Scholarship Office at (505)277-6090. For information about other forms of financial aid, contact the Financial Aid Office at (505)277-2041.

To Apply
Print an application (.pdf) or pick up an application from the College of Fine Arts Advisement Center in CA 1103. Applications for all of the scholarships listed above are to be completed and submitted to your faculty recommender who will then add his/her recommendation and forward the form to the department office. Each department will then choose one or two applicants to forward to the scholarship committee for consideration. The selection committee will review the nominations and award the scholarships.
