UNM Art Museum

The newly renovated and expanded University of New Mexico Art Museum boasts three floors of exhibition spaces, a state-of-the-art print study room, library, and media room in the University’s Center for the Arts. With close to 30,000 objects, the Museum houses by far the largest fine art collection in New Mexico, with special emphases in photographs and prints, including the Tamarind Lithography archive, as well as the estates of Raymond Jonson and Clinton Adams. Through changing exhibitions drawn from these collections, high-quality traveling exhibitions, and a robust schedule of public programs, the Museum fulfills our mandated mission to educate about and through art, to directly support the academic programs of the University of New Mexico, to enrich the cultural life of the city and the state, and to contribute to the international scholarly community.

The Museum is open Tuesday—Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; admission is free; and paid parking is available in the public parking structure. Visit our website for up-to-date information on exhibitions, opening receptions, the Distinguished Lecture Series and weekly Meeting of the Minds art conversations. Or, sign up to receive Museum e-blasts.
